Résumé: This work analyses the function that Karl Raimund Popper establishes to mistake in the progress of science. Correctly, the approach consists in clarifying and analyzing the rote that mistake plays in the development and evolution of science. Taking about the epistemological function of mistake in science, guides us to Popper point of view that says mistake is the heart or base of scientific progress. It is the motive of scientific development and evolution. It should be noted that, according to Popper, science evolves through correction and constantly overtaking critics of our mistakes. Thus he thinks that it’s not a scientific scandal as the classical thought but on the contrary it’s a catalyst of edification to development of science. The idea of mistake and it’s awareness puts us in the right track with assurance these mistakes provoke flaws and it’s the correction of these flaws that permit to acquire and construct the scientific theories. According to our author, the scientific story can only be read across the mistake that plays the great rote in the evolution and progress of scientific knowledge. Science takes as starting point « mistake and formulate base on it, evolves with it, progress with it, thereby it should be noted that no scientific theory can be elaborated at margin or exclusion of mistake. Being consubstantial to science, mistake is inevitable to the construction of scientific knowledge pretend to avoid or do without is non-sense it is a preliminary necessity to all scientific progress and development step. It is the method and foundation of knowledge; it is the source of knowledge.Prior to the positive contribution of this work, it means demonstrating the current thoughts of Popper on error. That is to say, the importance of popping’s error conception. The attribute and the way forward of this conception is what justify his advancement of science. Staying within the confines of the growth of science, error remains to him as a catalyst of scientific growth. The most important factor of this research is in the integration of error in the scientific domain.
