Résumé: For many decades now, the Northern part of Cameroon has been faced serious issues of food insecurity despite the very important presence of non-governmental organizations that invest in this domain. This study centered on “International actors and the fight against food insecurity in the northern part of Cameroon 1973-2020”, examines the pertinence and efficiency of the interventions of international actors in the fight against food insecurity in the Northern part of Cameroon. This study is aimed at listing the different international actors implicated in this fight, Presents the basic and type of actors in vowed; carries out an evaluation of the evolution food insecurity problems in area of study in order to examine the impact of the presence of these international organizations. In the course of this study many theories like realism, liberalism and trans-nationalism guided our reasoning. Also, analysis methods like the documentary method enabled us to exploit and confront the different sources in their divergent opinions. The observation method permitted us to better analyses facts in a given period of time. The comparative method was also very important, because it permitted us to judge the evolution of production. Finally, the quantitative and qualitative methods enabled us measure the intensity of the food insecurity. It appears from our investigations that if the presence of international actors in the Northern part of Cameroon could not solve the problem of food insecurity between 1973 and 2020, this is not only due to the multiple variations of the factors, but also to the weak vision of the national factors and international organizations on the real ways out of the problems of food insecurity in the Northern part of Cameroon.
