Résumé: Its a problem to ameliorate the prodution of materials which is basically inexistence to the industrial wood in Cameroon. This improvement of the material passes through the importance of wood scraps in the transformation or production of wood. The importance of wood waste can permit us to use 90% of logs. This require efficient personnel and equipment, as well as efficient maintenance. The recent investigation have propose to analyse the different ways of to give an importance on wasted wood of the COFA in order to contribute to the improvment of the material output of the sawmills. In order to achieve this, we have to identify and describe the production of wood scraps; estimate the volumes of wood scraps generated and identify the different systems of wood scraps. To carry out this analysis, we had to make a direct interview and some observations were carried out with some personel working in the UTB. Then, a qualitative analysis made it possible to determine through the mode of flow the types of waste production and to assimilate the various systems of valorization of the wasted wood identify in the UTB. The quantitative analysis through the information of the logs and cuttings cubing sheets to quantify the volume of wood scraps generated and to determine the value of the material yield per log of processed wood. From this studies we realise that waste wood is produced in all stations and for the most part burnt and, use for the manufacture of ordinary charcoal. 343,724 m³ of wasted wood volume was produced during this period, with material vary from 21.28% (period 2) to 31.379% (period 3) and an average of 27.417%.
