Résumé: The objective of this study is to examine the role of financial sector transparency in the relationship between financial crises and banking competition in sub-Saharan Africa.To achieve this econometric estimates were made using the Generalized Moment Method (GMM) in a dynamic panel of 30countries in the area over the period from 2005 to 2017 .the result obtained show that the financial crisis reduced banking competition in the countries of SSA ,The transparency of public credit bureau increases banking competition in the countries of Assumption ,transparency in public credit bureaus mitigates the negative effect of the financial crisis on banking also the transparency of private credit bureaus increases banking competition in the countries of Assumption the transparency of private credit bureaus mitigates the negative effect of the financial on banking ;on the basis of these result we make the following recommendations Encourage disclosure of information through PCR and PCB in order to mitigate the negative effects of financial crises on banking competition.
