Résumé: | The study of “Cultural and eco-political representations in Cameroon from 1884 to 2012”, is a cross-sectional analysis of the conflict of social perceptions of the environment, based on two “historical and discursive approaches to the exploitation of fauna and flora patters ”. The survey of conflicts in Cameroon cultural representions, is made of large European corpus of several cultural areas, mainly Germany, France and England, which step in opposition with black Africa. Tradition and modernity are different systems of meaning, knowledge, power, culture and economies are also diffrent paradigms. Our topic is a proposal based on the following question : how do the perception of the environment, and functions of cultural representations in the conservation, exploitation, and protection of natural ecosystems have chaged cameroonian population behaviors since 1884 till 2012 ?. Methodologically, this research is based on the diachronic and synchronous method. It provides a minimum of light on the evolution of the symbolic capital of international relations and cultural meanings that can be mobilized through historical process. The bibliography that we used is a cross-section of documents, oral and webographic sources that produced the following results: firstly, the main cause of deconstruction of nature perception in Africa and Cameroon in particular comes from capitalism, which determine social progress. Secondly, subsistence of certain cultural representations still makes it possible to conserve and protect certain animal and fauna species. In front of modernity, these cultural representations are diluted and changing. In the perspective of present time and future, evolution of international cooperation on the environment according to cultural representations makes it possible to state that, sustainable protection of ecosystems and fight against climate change must include local tradition of peoples both in international legislation and in educational programs. To do this, we must go through the specific history of each representation through art, which is the showcase of civilizations but above all the perfect tool used in social international dialog. |
