The theory of adaptation in work or person-enviroment correspondance was developed from the mid- 1960s by Dawis and Lofquist (1980). Its primary objective is to report on the well-being of individuals in their various workplaces; it is seen mainly from the angle of stability and well-being in structures or organizations. However, its field of application is much broader and concerns all the people in the structures. In the context of our theory has implicit link with our theme of investigation in that it highlights the relationships between the various staff of the school and their head of establishment considered as leader. Schools start from structures that employ as lot of peaple, who must ensure the well-being of the various staff, namely: administrative staff, teaching staff and support staff so that school performance is not negatively impacted. In structurez, individuals have differents personalities and this can be problematic, which is also the reason why Carnegie (1993) in his book « How to find the leader in you ? » , showed that human relations are probably the most important problem atsolve in structures .To manage better, adopt appropriate leadership to maintain the conditions favorable to academic success within the establisment. The study deals with the theme « Leadership and success rate in official exams » and was carried out at the classic and modern high school of Ebolowa. After having made the observation according to which the success rate in the official exams is high in BEPC and baccalaureate which is not the case in the probationary, this is surely due to the fact that the learners of these classes are at an age where puberty disturbs their studies. We asked ourselves a series dof questions, the main one being: is the pass rate in official examinations influenced by the type of leadership? As a provisional answer to this research question. A general hypothesis has been formuled namely: the type of leadership favors the success rate in official examinations. To verify our hypotheses, we used a questionnaire to obtain the opinion of sixty staff taken with samples and double counting, firstly we presented the results in the form of statically tables and secondly the counting and the statistical processing of the data collected was done manually. This study is part of rational type quantitative approach. The data obtained through the analyzes made it possible to confirm all our hypotheses, which leads us to say that no leadership is better than the other, it is enough that we take into account the context and the situations to which the structure makes face to increase performance and success rate.en_US
