dc.description.abstract | This study is entitled "UN-Women social promotion and economic empowerment of women in the central region 20210-2020". It aims to analyse and evaluate the various actions and interventions of this UN institution in the empowerment of women in this administrative region of the country. It raises the issue of the involvement of international organisations in the development of vulnerable groups such as women. In order to analyse the issue, diversified and complementary sources were exploited. These included field surveys based on the qualitative method, which consisted of collecting information through private interviews and focus groups. The work carried out within this framework made it possible to understand the context in which UN-Women intervenes in favour of women in the central region and how this organisation contributes to the promotion and empowerment of women. At the end of the assessment of the activities of this organisation committed to the promotion of gender, we came to the conclusion that UN-Women is an essential pillar of the social advancement of women through its inclusion in governance and political participation. In addition, this international institution has participated in the social and economic advancement of women by combating all forms of violence against women and empowering women in the areas of IGAs. However, local cultural and political realities do not allow for a satisfactory result in the empowerment of women. Key words: | en_US |
