dc.description.abstract | The present study on the theme “The promotion of women entrepreneurship and the sustainable development in Chad: case of the NGO Africare in the Eastern Logone aims to assess the contribution of the NGO Africare in the individual or collective entrepreneurial initiatives of women. To achieve the Objectives, some empirical data were used as a guide. These are the theory of expectation and the interactive theory. This work is based on oral and written sources. The data are collected in the field through interviews, observations, questionnaires and the focus group. In terms of results, this study showed that women are an important link for the economy of the Eastern Logone province. They deploy strategy and energy and organize themselves into groups and cooperatives. It is therefore important to support them through the implementation of appropriate actions. This is the choice that Africare offers through the implementation of the IRPEF project. The intervention of Africare in the said province triggered a new social behavior less restrictive for the women, gave her a place in the family and in society. This has made it possible to raise women to the status of real development actors. By way of conclusion, this material and technical contribution of Africare has significantly increased the income of local women thus promoting their empowerment and engages them in the path of sustainable development as well as in the pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals. Nevertheless, this contribution has shown its limitations. Therefore, the perspectives must be oriented. Keywords: | en_US |
