Résumé: | This work focuses on Gender-Based Violence in the so-called revival churches in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The objective is to identify and analyse the modes of production and exercise of violence on people in the new Christian churches, in particular on woman. Following our investigation in Yaoundé, and thanks to several methods that were mobilized, we were able to explore the origin and the different forms of violence suffered by members of revival churches as well as their harmful consequences in the lives of each other. The results show that men, women and children all experience violence, but women are the most vulnerable. Indeed, the reduction of the gap between the legal and physical persons in charge of the fight against Gender-Based Violence and the victims of revival churches has been identified as one of the appropriate solutions to this scourge.
