This thesis is in the framework of research conducted in the Department of Organic Chemistry, University of Yaounde I, in the field of natural products chemistry. This work was aimed to search new plant based bioactive molecules (and/or lead), which can be used as lead drugs in therapeutic. In this thesis therefore, we report the results of phytochemical investigations of Ficus pumila Linn and Ficus thonningii Blume, two Cameroonian medicinal plants of the Moraceae family. This work also includes results of the chemical transformations from some three isolates, as well as the evaluation of the antimicrobial, DPPH free radical scavenging and butyrylcholinesterase inhibition of extracts, some isolates and semisynthetic compounds. The aim of this work was to search new bioactive molecules for future drugs discovery and to contribute in the chemo-taxonomic classification of plants of the genus Ficus. Obtained compounds were isolated using conventional separation methods. Structures have been elucidated by usual spectroscopic methods (UV, IR, MS, 1D and 2D NMR) and by comparison of some physical and spectral data with those described in the literature. From this work, 32 compounds were isolated among which 29 were fully characterized.fr_FR
