Indeed, this research raises the problem of the under-schooling of children in the populated neighborhoods of the city of Yaoundé, more precisely in the Briqueterie. It is for us to question the logic of the under-schooling of children in the Briqueterie district in Yaoundé. How to understand and explain the foundations of the under-schooling of children in the Briqueterie district in Yaoundé? The foundations of the under-schooling of children in the Briqueterie district of Yaoundé are cultural and socio-economic. The main objective of this research is to highlight the logics of the under-schooling of children in the Briqueterie district which constitute the obstacles to the development process. To underpin our work, this research was affiliated with methodological individualism, ethnomethodology, and benefited from the methodological recipes of interactionism to show how underschooled children constitute obstacles to development in urban settings. The collection, analysis and interpretation of data to elucidate this problematization are based on quantitative techniques and qualitative techniques. Data processing and analysis were done manually. This is how we administered 100 questionnaires and conducted the observation; the interviews, i.e. 25 centered and 35 semidirectives, 03 group discussions in the Briqueterie district in Yaoundé. This device allowed us to develop: the socio-anthropological analysis of the Briqueterie district; the influence of sociocultural factors on the under-schooling of children in the Briqueterie district of Yaoundé and the effects of under-schooling of children on the development |
