dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study is to evaluate the influence of the reform of the LMD system on the training of Geography students in the Faculty of Arts, Letters and Human Sciences at the University of Yaoundé 1. This is based on the observation that students in the geography program do not have enough experience to enter the job market or do not recognize the value of their acquired experience, and that the majority of them are unable to be self-employed. Situated in the theoretical lineage of Becker’s human capital, Kohl’s experiential and linking the training problem to low skill levels of Geography learners. This work examines the main constraints related to the professionalization of teaching; pedagogy, human and material resources that negatively affect the effectiveness of the training of Geography students at the University of Yaoundé 1. With the help of a questionnaire, a survey was conducted among some Geography students. The analysis of the data collected in the field reveals that the LMD system has a significant influence on the training of Geography students.
