Résumé: The theme of this research, which concerns land conflicts in the municipality of Soa (1993-2020), highlights the development problem which can favor the evolution of land conflicts. However, African peoples have always recognized the land as a sacred and precious asset, although development and urbanization have almost succeeded in changing this conception. The State, which is the strong and main link in the chain, through its structuring and educational projects does not take this reality into account; the populations are not excluded from this distortion of African culture. This research deals with Land conflicts in the municipality of Soa (1993-2020). It is underpinned by the following problem ''How land conflicts were born and evolved in Soa from the creation of the University from Yaoundé 2? The sources mobilized for the writing of this dissertation are oral and written. The analyzes respect the diachronic approach. It highlights the various problems observed because it is not spared from the influence of development with the creation of the University of Yaoundé 2 in Soa in 1993. This is due to its proximity to the capital Yaoundé. Thus the land conflicts oppose the State to the natives of the current site of the university, the natives and non-natives who create a climate of instability and insecurity vis-à-vis the individuals concerned. In addition, these land disputes in Soa involve several actors, and are managed differently, with consequences for social harmony. Admittedly, the State is making some efforts to remedy this, but the problem persists, which is why some possible solutions have been proposed to contribute to the construction of lasting peace.
