Résumé: Our research focuses on Islamic associations and development in Cameroon: the case of WAMY and TIKA in northern Cameroon (1990-2020). These organizations are presents in Cameroon since sixties. However, the legitimacy of their actions is founded in Cameroon following the country’s membership in the organization of the Islamic conference in 1974. This work aims to highlight and assess the quality or important of Islamic organizations for the de development of Northern Cameroons. Achieving, this objective requires the implementation or plural method including the collection and analysis of data from oral sources, iconographic writing, etc. Following both a synchronic and diachronic analysis. It emerges from this study, that Islamic associations have been established in Cameroon under several bases, mainly cultural, political and economic. With varied characteristics and areas of expertise. Islamic associations have undertaken several actions to promote development in Cameroon, particularly the Northern part of the country Islamic organization are therefore deployed following important dynamics. The impacts of these deployments are perceptible through the multiple achievements made by these associations; these are mainly social actions, such as the creation of koranic schools, mosques, and food and health aid. Therefore, it should be noted Thad despite the various interventions of these Islamic organizations I the field of development in this part of the country. Some limits have been identified. These limitations are mainly related to policy weaknesses, lack of funding and weak cooperation between Cameroon and other Arab counties in the world.
