The term “sexual assault” includes offenses of different seriousness, including rape, sexual exhibitionism and sexual harassment. (Essiben et al., 2020). In all its forms, rape is a growing phenomenon in the world. It is the most serious form of sexual assault. Although it is documented, from a scientific point of view; its consequences are devastating for the victims, especially young girls. Childhood sexual abuse is associated with a whole range of psychological symptoms such as depression, suicidal ideation, post-traumatic stress disorder and relationship difficulties (Bigras 2014). The trauma experienced by these children can have long-term impacts on their mental health and overall well-being. Despite the law, which punishes rape in its article 296 with a sentence ranging from 5 to 10 years in the event of rape, its offenses continue to increase in Cameroon. The objective of this research is to understand how the trauma has an impact on the experience of the raped young girl an interview guide. At the end of the thematic analysis, the main results obtained reveal that the subjects who have been raped experience a trauma that impacts their experience in different ways. According to them, the traumatic experience of rape leads to profound changes in the mental balance of the victims. The subjects claimed to have changed since the advent of traumatic rape. The risk of rape was reflected in the minor subject by a reproduction of sexual acts. This situation with its consequences affects the subject in a traumatic experience with immediate consequences.fr_FR
