dc.description.abstractThe present investigation on "school time management and academic success of students in public general secondary education" is part of a context where the international community in general and Cameroon in particular strives to provide quality education to its young citizens in order to facilitate their social integration and their openness to the world. The general objective of this research is to determine the link between school time management and academic success. The question arises as to whether the management of school time has an influence on the success of pupils in public general secondary education. The theory of time management and stones is the one on which we relied to support our position regarding the impact of school time management on the academic success of student in final year of secondary education general public. The data collection operation in the target establishments of the study was carried out using data collection instruments such as the questionnaire and the interview guide. 200 questionnaires administrated to students, 90 questionnaires addressed to teachers , interview conducted with 15 teachers and administrative authorities , allowed the verification of the general research hypothesis thus formulated “the management of school time has an influence on the success of learners” thanks to which the person or chi square test. The analysis of data allowed the validation of the four specific research hypothesis including H1: the organization of school day has an impact on academic success, H2: the organization of the school week has an influence on academic success, H3: term management has an impact on academic success and H4: school rythms have an influence on academic success. The general hypothesis being confirmed, recommendations were made to various ministries who define educational policies , proposal were also made to teachers for better time management and mastery of the concept of school time by students.fr_FR
