Résumé: The main objective of this thesis is to size and optimize a hybrid Hydro -PV-Wind-Diesel- Storage power plant (system) to solve the energy deficit of certain selected sites in Cameroon. It specifically aims to estimate the renewable energy potential of the chosen sites, define the load curves, model different hybrid Hydro-PV-Wind-Diesel-Storage configurations, simulate and optimize these different hybrid Hydro-PV-Wind-Diesel-Storage configurations in using different meta-heuristic techniques. Finally, it makes a comparative study of the different configurations according to the different evaluation criteria in order to define the best configuration according to the chosen site. Three case studies furnished this work. The first entitled "Consideration of some optimization techniques to design a hybrid energy system for a building in Cameroon", the optimal sizing of an autonomous hybrid renewable energy system for a community multimedia center in MAKENENE was made taking into account seven configurations and the degradation factor of the solar panel; The best energy configuration is Scenario 3 (PV/DG/Battery) for the value of the degradation factor equal to 0.9. The second entitled ―A Feasibility Study of a PV/Wind/Battery/Diesel/Grid System for Residential Dwellings in Various Climates in Cameroon‖, the design and optimal ranking of four grid-connected energy configurations of three types of dwellings (T4, T5, T6) were carried out in four climatic zones of Cameroon. The results indicate that the best energy configurations have cost of electricity (COE) values below $0.158/kWh, which is the price usually paid by consumers in the country. The third entitled ―Technical-economic feasibility with and study environmental photovoltaic/wind/hydro/battery/diesel demand-side management: a case study in sub-Saharan Africa‖, the optimal design of four energy configurations to meet the electrical load of five rural communities in the sub-Saharan Africa region was carried out. The results show that considerable savings were made on the economic, technical and environmental aspects during the implementation of the energy demand management strategy. In the case of BOGOMORO, the savings obtained for the best configuration were $0.005/kWh for COE, $400,000 for NPC and 29,661.865 kg of GHG.
