Naissance et évolution des Organisations féminines dans le département de Mont-Illi au Tchad : Enjeux socioéconomiques et politiques (1990-2020)

Abstract

The Republic of Chad is located in central Africa and has about 16 million inhabitants for an area of 1284000 km2. This country has experienced more than three decades of social and political crises that have plunged it into a situation of precariousness and poverty. This situation has increased discrimination against women and negatively impacted their living conditions. This contribution entitled: «Birth and evolution of women’s organizations in the Department of Mont-Illi in Chad: socio-economic and political stakes (1990-2020) » aims to analyse the role of women’s Organizations in the struggle for women’s rights and gender inequalities in Chad. It questions the role and implications of women’s Organizations in the holistic empowerment of women in the department of Mont-Illi. To answer our research question, we have adopted a qualitative, quantitative and descriptive method. The research was conducted with Women’s Organizations with a well-designed interview guide. Following the results obtained, recommendations were made to overcome certain constraints.
