Since the creation of its commission in 1964, the Lake Chad basin has become a territory conducive to insecurities of various natures (political crises, intercommunity conflicts, terrorism, etc.). The Logone and Chari division from its geostrategic position in the basin has not spared these crises with enormous consequences. This study consists of examining the motives for insecurity in the Chadian basin as well as its impact in Logone and Chari. On the basis of direct and indirect interviews with a few people including economic actors, political and religious leaders, soldiers and refugees in some communes of Logone and Chari and documentation consisting of works, articles, theses, memoirs and activity reports treated in a diachronic and systemic approach, we reach the conclusion that the insecurity in the of Lake Chad region has its source from economic precariousness and the depletion of natural resources, political disputes, tribal divisions, illiteracy and religious fanaticism whose interaction leaves a significant economic, socio-cultural an humanitarian impact in Logone and Chari.fr_FR
