The aim of this study is to establish the link between Central African migrations and crossborder crime in the Lom-et-Djerem Department (East-Cameroon). The aim is to show how the upsurge in Central African migratory crises over the last few decades has led to crossborder crime in this department. In fact, this phenomenon with its multiple motives, forms, nature, actors and repercussions has been the mobilization of several categories of actors to eradicate it. This research is based on a critical and analytical observation of the insecurity facts linked to the presence of Central African migrants since 1965. It is also based on synchronic, diachronic and interdisciplinary approaches which invite us to grasp the evolving nature of the phenomenon as well as the interactions between the different social and human sciences involved (History, Sociology, Anthropology, Geography etc.). This being the case, this work has shown that the problem of insecurity has taken another turn in Lom-et-Djerem with the vertiginous influx of forced Central African migrants, particularly thanks to their mastery of weapons of all calibers as well as those illegal roads. To deal with this phenomenon, we observed the mobilization of several actors (administrative, security, humanitarian, traditional). The host populations and other Central African migrants being the main victims of this phenomenon collaborated with the Law Enforcement and Security Forces in order to fight against the groups of criminals who are rampant in this department. It appears that cross-border crime in the light of Central African migratory crises has had incalculable socio-economic, politico-diplomatic effects which hinder development and tend to go beyond the departmental framework to become national or even international.en_US
