Résumé: | This thesis focuses on psychosocial support and the integration process for refugee victims of gender-based violence (GBV) within the site of Gado-Bazéré. He is interested in the problem of integration difficulties of these refugees manifested by the insufficiency of humanitarian aid, the lack of protection of the survivor against further aggression, lack of space secure and confidential to talk to, the absence of a professional psychologist on the site, for their autonomy. It explores how psychosocial support can promote their integration process. Because these refugees encounter obstacles important in their insertion, often due to their inability to follow the proposed activity programs. The question then arose: how can psychosocial support promote the process of integration of these refugees? To answer it, we relied, on the one hand on the theory psycho- analysis of trauma to understand the impact of GBV experiences on the mental health of surviving refugee women. This theoretical framework highlights the devastating effects of these traumas on the psyche that lead to difficulties of adaptation and integration. In addition, the psychosocial approach and mental health highlights the importance of psycho- social intervention to help survivors to overcome the consequences of the trauma, to find a feeling of security and control and to develop coping strategies. The methodology adopted is qualitative based on individual interviews. The data collected and analyzed make it possible to understand their experiences and their perceptions of psychosocial support. The results reveal that this support is crucial for their insertion, more precisely, by contributing to the development of the host countries when these women and girls develop the resilience that promotes their autonomy and their active participation in social life- economical. Also, on a personal level, this accompaniment reduces the effects of the psychological trauma, distress when these women regain confidence in they develop a better self-esteem to face their challenges. This memory then highlights the need to develop programs adapted support and to improve the care of refugee victims of GBV to promote their inclusion and well-being. |
