Résumé: Carried out in an urban environment, the objective of this study lays on the analysis of the existing relationship between the strategies put in place for the implementation of distance education of MINESEC and the commitment of student- teachers towards their training. However, through the literature we nevertheless observe lack of commitment of learners to distance education programs supposed to improve the quality of their training. To analyze this problem, our research question is: how do the strategies implemented by the distance education of the ministry of Secondary Education contribute to learner engagement? specifically, what impacts to the strategies implemented by the Ministry of Secondary Education have on learner engagement? Answering this question involves focusing on a quantitative bill and using the questionnaire as a data collection tool. Our questionnaire was submitted to 248 student teachers, selected using the cluster sampling technique. The results show that the student teachers are not very committed to the distance education programs of the MINSEC. Our suggestion is to multiply synchronous meetings to carry out interactive activities and make courses available to student teachers on digital storage media to view in order to arouse their real commitment.
