Résumé: Festivals are a place of celebration, of rejoicing, the rule of the three unities (unity of time, unity of place, unity of action) constitutes their vital essence. Film festivals are no exception. Since the creation of the first film festival in 1930 (the Venice Mostra), two other festival eras have followed (pre-war, post-war until 1970 and from 1970 to the present day) which have seen and continue to see a profusion of festivals. This festival is modeled on other so-called "classical" festivals. This study aims to present Cameroonian films in inter-African festivals from two thousand to two thousand and twenty. In order to achieve our goal, we have placed our approach in the context of reception, in order to present festivals as showcases of international cinema, and we have presented the reception of Cameroonian films in inter-African festivals. The more Cameroonian films are selected in inter-African festivals, which would indicate the good quality of Cameroonian cinema. We used verification tools such as: documentary research "consultation of festival catalogues", interviews and a survey by questioning were carried out throughout this research. This approach led us to conclude that Cameroonian films were not sufficiently present in the festivals included in our study. To try to improve this observation, we proposed an approach to screenwriting based on the Joseph Campbell model, which is the American model most used by American cinema.
