Résumé: | This research addresses the issue of child drug abuse and the resurgence of violence in schools. The objective of this work is to show that juvenile drug addiction is a determining factor in the upsurge of violence at the anguissa high school. To carry out this study, the method chosen is qualitative-quantitative because the object in the list requires a deep and longitudinal reading. To this end, our study questions the impact of this phenomenon on the case of the resurgences of violence recorded or observed within the said high school and states the hypothesis according to which there is a causal relationship between the violence done by the students to teachers and their classmates and the juvenile drug addiction at the high school of anguissa. At the end of the analysis of the data collected from 60 pupils referred to the disciplinary council because of the acts of violence, the results sufficiently show that the acts of violence that occur at the anguissa high school are closely linked to the types or quality of drugs consumed by the pupils. Moreover, parents are responsible for the rise of child drug addiction and the upsurge in acts of violence observed at the anguissa high school. From this reflection, one observation emerges: the competent action of the educational psychologist can contribute to the significant decrease in juvenile drug addiction and the resurgence of cases of violence that destroy the Cameroonian school environment. In relation to these elements, this study makes it possible to set up a proposal, one that conceives parent-teacher collaboration in the context of accompaniment/follow-up, advice/listening as an effective weapon in the fight against child drug addiction and the resurgence of violence in schools in Cameroon. |
