Résumé: This research work is entitled “Human nature in the age of biotechnologies”. It is a reflection on the improvement of the human condition, putting into perspective the relevance of the new powers of man over nature and himself. These new powers stem from technoscientific advance and pave the way for the possibility of domesticating the human genome through biomedical techniques. Biotechnologies are indeed based on this opening to the possibility of human enhancement through improvement technologies. The foundation of biotechnologies and their impact on the humans was questioned. To address this concern, we proceeded with an analytical method. This method consisted of evaluating biotechnological and transhumanist theses to understand what significance should be given to man and nature. This analysis, based on revolutionary humanism, leads to the technological foundations of the meaning and existence of humans, following the ascent of biotechnological progress.
