Résumé: The study entitled Work environment and efficiency level of contractualised teacher of primary schools in rural context: the case of Cameroon focuses on the lack of efficiency of contractualised teachers in rural milieu in Cameroon. It works out how the problem is handled and how it is experienced. This problematic significantly influences the educational continuum, indeed the competences and results of pedagogic activities doers. Moreover, this work brings up the issue of human resources and their perception within the work environment, hence a systematic exploration of the educational psychology which must be taken into account by the various school managers so as to assess the leverage level of contract teachers working in rural areas. This survey analyses the correlation between the dynamics of work environment factors and the efficiency potential of the contractualised teacher. This analysis remains based on the following main question which stands as its major thread: do the dynamics of work environment factors impact the professional potential efficiency of the contractualised teacher in rural areas in Cameroon? The survey shed lights on this question drawing on the explanatory paradigms developed byDecy and Ryan‟s theories of self-determination, the theories of organizational justice and fairness. All these theoretical approaches account for motivation at work, not without questioning Lewin‟s field theory. We handed over a questionnaire to 6 500 contractualised teachers in the aim to investigate on possible solutions to the problem raised. These have been selected through stratified proportional random sampling. Pearson‟s correlation coefficient was used to test hypotheses which were all confirmed. The achieved results point to the need for strategic regulation and systematic structuring of the work environment. This aims to improve the functionality of the school system in order to increase the efficiency potential of contractualised teachers in rural Cameroon. Similar points to ponder are proposed in relation to the teacher's personality, perception and feeling of personal effectiveness. It will be a question of measuring their influence on the efficiency level of the teacher in various teaching situations.
