dc.description.abstractThe goal of this work is to demonstrate the impact of language immersion of French language by students / learners attending the Anglo-Saxon system in Cameroon. The study grounded on the hypothesis of the primacy of the social context on the reinforcement of language skills targets the use of a key grammar category, namely prepositions. The population of about 60 informants has been carefully selected from two confessional bilingual schools (COBIJAM) in Yaoundé and (ASCOBA) in Bamenda. They have been submitted to a rigorous interviews protocol coupled with a set of French writing tests. The crossed results arrived at the assumption that students living in Yaoundé perform better than those residing in Bamenda thus confirming the main hypothesis of the present study.en_US
