Résumé: This study focuses on " Cameroon’s contribution of the implementation of the peace and security architecture in central Africa (1992-2019)”. Following African independence, the area ECCAS states enters the circus of violent and devastating conflicts thus endangering the lives and the future of African population in general, and those of this regional space in particular. It is on the strength of this that sub-regional initiatives are set up, in particular the council of peace and security in central Africa (COPAX). In the aftermath of African independences, the Economic Community of Central African. This study aims at assess the Cameroon’s contribution to the sub-regional mechanism for prevention, control and management conflictuality in the ECCAS zone. It is then question of questioning the place or better, the role played by Cameroon in the preservation of peace in ECCAS. Based on the background rich and varied written documentary but also various oral sources. The analysis grid being that of cooperation theories, constructivism and liberal theory. The method used is the analytical one. The study is based on induction and deduction, in order to observe that the security situation in central Africa has led the heads of state of the economic community of central African states to take security initiatives. Cameroon in the sub region contributes to the fight against insecurity and the promotion of peace through his diplomatic style and posture regal always at the service of well-being. Also, despite the related difficulties to the efficient implementation of ECCAS peace and security architecture, important avenues for solutions have been identified to enable Central Africa to better cope with crises and conflicts.
