dc.description.abstract | This research aims to explore the conceptual renewals the have taken place in the construction of theatrical conflict over time. The broaden scope of our investigation, we titled it: The conflict in the theatrical work of Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, by choosing twelve texts by this author which served as our corpus. They are part of the literature of ideas depicting the human condition. Focused mainly on the problem of characterizing the confrontations that emerge from the writing of this artist, our research sets out to explore the meaning and functioning of this conflict. The analysis grid for work (the psychocriticism of Charles Mauron) imposes on us an extended reflection on three essential parts entitled: Identfying the thematic relationships of the differents plays, dramatic figures and situations and Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, writer of his drama. This triptych fist allowed us to explore the avenues of obsessive network by superimposing the author’s works. In doing so, we have addressed the thematic diversity that jumps out at first glance by arranging the different motifs according to their proximity and affinities in order to get to the heart of the direction he gives to the conflict. Next, we analyzed the marks of hybridity and neutrality through the haunting metaphors. This construction allowed us to study the architextual and intratextual elements that lead to an evocative symphony. Finally, we determined the personal myth of the writer and compared it with his biography. She offers us a transtextual look at the theatrical work of Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt. It appears that the conflict in this artist reflects the meaning of the confrontations which structure and destructure human relationships. This respectively preventive (through the memories of the second world war which return in a redundant manner); transgressive (when it is deployed in terms of dissident acts calling into question established orders) and curative (perceived as a sanction which is nothing else than the cathartic ritualization of the conflict to care[oneself] of its misdeeds. | fr_FR |
