This study is titled 'Humanitarian Crisis Management in N'Djamena by Action Against Hunger (ACF) from 1982 to 2008.' The objective of this research is to analyze the actions carried out by Action Against Hunger (ACF) in N'Djamena between 1982 and 2008, in order to understand their impact on humanitarian crises. What is the contribution of non-state actors in the fight against hunger in Chad? To conduct this study, we used a diversity of sources in accordance with historical requirements. Specifically, we exploited written sources (archives, memoirs, and books), oral sources, and iconographic sources (photographs). Our methodological approach is based on a synchronic, analytical, and quantitative approach to ensure an exhaustive analysis. The theories applied to our work are the transnationalism theory, which reinforces links between individuals, communities, and societies, and liberalism theory, which states that the rational individual is the main actor in international relations. The' objective of this study is to understand the role and The objective of this study is to understand the role, involvement, and functioning of ACF in managing humanitarian crises in N'Djamena. To achieve this, we divided our work into four chapters: the first chapter is the context of ACF's birth and implantation in N'Djamena, Chad; the second chapter, titled 'Typology of Humanitarian Crises in N'Djamena'; the third chapter, 'ACF's Actions in Managing Humanitarian Crises in N'Djamena'; and the fourth chapter, 'Constraints Related to ACF's Action on the Ground and Perspectives. Based on this study, we arrived at the following results: ACF is an essential organization in managing humanitarian crises. Since 1987, its intervention has allowed responding to the needs of victim populations, particularly in terms of health and nutrition. However, ACF's results are sometimes hindered by financial limitations and internal difficulties that can affect the neutrality and effectiveness of its programs. In perspective, ACF notes that the multiplication of humanitarian organizations and initiatives can create challenges. Applying the principles of humanitarian action is essential to respond to the needs of vulnerable populations.fr_FR
