Résumé: | This work focuses on insurance in the education sector in Cameroon: case of secondary education 1996-2020. The aim of this work is to present the nature of the involvement and commitment of insurance companies, particularly in the field of school insurance, considered one of the fundamental areas of a State. In fact, the objective of this work is initially to examine the attitude, the activities of insurance companies and other actors in the educational sector in Cameroon while highlighting the different foundations of their involvement, in a second time to assess the impacts of. Their activities on the protection and promotion of students' rights in the sphere of this study. To carry out this work which poses the problem of governance and management of insurance within secondary education establishments in Cameroon, the involvement and strategies deployed by insurance companies and the State in the effective establishment of the system of insurance in establishments in Cameroon. The main reflection was based on the question of knowing: what are the different implications linked to the management of insurance within secondary establishments and what are the repercussions for the different players in the sector. Based on a variety of documentation, consisting of books, articles, reports, academic work, as well as oral sources, the processing of the information data collected is based on the analytical and chronological approach. It appears from this study that the involvement of insurance companies has largely contributed to improving the promotion of students' rights in terms of school insurance. It also emerges from this study that the State plays a key role in this promotion through these different institutions including Ministry of Education, Ministry of Secondary Education and Ministry of Justice. We also note that the said involvement of the different actors presents some difficulties which have slowed down activities and actions. We propose on our part to the different actors (insurance companies, State) involved in the defense of the interests of students in the sphere of our study to place particular emphasis on collaboration, dialogue and synergy between the different actors, the production of. Reports of the various activities, with the aim of preserving the good education that reigns there and ensuring compliance with the assurance standards that students need. |
