Résumé: This research work is a study based on the observation of an increased representativeness of the feminized population within the Ministry of Social Affairs. The objective is to show that the representation of women within the Ministry of Social Affairs (MINAS) is synonymous with their emancipation. Presenting the explanatory factors of the representation of women within this institution, showing the role and place of women within this ministry, while noting the difficulties they face will be the backbone of our work. Thereafter, we highlight some proposals that have been made to improve the representation of women in the Cameroonian Public Service in general. As a theoretical framework, we were inspired by both the social constructivism of Peter BERGER, Thomas LUCKMANN and the strategic analysis of Michel CROZIER and ERHARD Friedberg. The constructivist approach allows us to highlight the system of relations within the Ministry of Social Affairs (MINAS). Socially constructed relationships resulting in increased representation of women in this ministerial department. As for the strategic analysis that allowed us to analyze the place given to women in this ministerial department. To carry out this research, we have adopted both qualitative methods, relying on data collection techniques such as: semi-directive interview, direct observation and documentary research on the one hand. And on the other hand, the quantitative method through the use of the questionnaire and the presentation of the figures through tables and graphs. From these multiple investigations, it emerges that the emancipation of women within the Ministry of Social Affairs (MINAS) is a reality as evidenced by their level of representativeness in the number of staff, the positions of responsibility they occupy and their place in decision-making. We have noticed that the scientific literature on the question of women in relation to their representation in public institutions is not very abundant. The interest of this study is to show that despite the fact that women have long been relegated to second place, they increasingly occupy an important place in the Cameroonian administration and more specifically in the Ministry of Social Affairs (MINAS). The review of prospects shows that it is also important to integrate the gender issue not only in areas such as social affairs, but also in all establishments and public administrations of Cameroonian sovereignty.
