| dc.description.abstract | The question of traveling from one place to another for social, political or economic reasons nourishes contemporary literary creation, thus making possible a framework for reflection on wandering as a literary motif. For Grégory Le Floch and Felwine Sarr, wandering symbolizes the translation of dissatisfaction among the characters in search of diverse and new horizons. From this perspective, wandering and the quest for oneself are understood as a process that would promote contact between cultures while respecting diversity. This work is based on To travel the world and prowl there by Grégory Le Floch and The places that my dreams live in by Felwine Sarr to question the deployment of wandering and the quest for oneself. This work sets up an analytical framework which mainly takes into account the sociocriticism of Edmond Cros and subsidiarily the semiotics of Algirdas Julien Greimas. We have therefore structured our work into three main stages which summarize the essentials. First, the first part offers the opportunity to define the mobility of the characters. Then, the second part, relating to the quest for meaning, shows that its writing makes it possible to create new postmodern scriptural postures concerned with freeing man from his anchorage which identifies him with a territory and giving him a possibility of to live on the border, to fully experience otherness and to be free. Finally, regarding the examination of the mechanisms of wandering which article the third part, it emerges that Grégory Le Floch and Felwine Sarr advocate a humanism of differences, deconstruct the geographical and imaginary borders or even abolish the limits and advocating the construction of the all world. | fr_FR |
