dc.description.abstract | Tourism has for over a decade, been a world phenomenon because no country is spared from its benefits. Less developed countries have made of this sector a tool of economic boosting while the developed world has made of it a strategy of stability. In a bid to boost the touristic sector and ameliorate its performance at the level of Africa (25th on 25 African tourist destinations) Cameroon has proposed the practice of a sustainable form of tourism as well as the valorisation of sites with relevant potentials. In a bid to innovate and change the image of Cameroon, touristic attractions such as Ngog Lituba attracts more and more the attention of tourism-related stakeholders. The mythical cave of Ngo Lituba alimented several legends in Cameroon and abroad. It passed from a myth to reality. In fact, the Ngog Lituba cave attracts visitors from all origins and of all beliefs. However, the tractability and measurements of the impacts of tourism on this cite is difficult. Despite the fact that it is a classified site since 2010 and that it has been integrated in the Cameroonian cultural heritage, the strategies of valorisation of this cave remains local. The present study aims at analysing the tourism system in Nyanon as well as the situation of tourism around the caves of Ngo Lituba. We observed that, the tourism system is defective in Nyanon despite the little lay out projects put in place. Tourism (which still remains periodic) is a promising sector in Nyanon because it generates revenue for a small group of people. However, it still remains informal because it does not respect any canevas of the policy of tourism in work in Cameroon. | fr_FR |
