Accessibilité et valorisation du potentiel touristique dans l’arrondissement de Nyanon

Abstract

The problem of Inaccessibility constitutes a fundamental constraint in the development of tourism in less developed countries and Cameroon in particular. This obstacle is more accented in rural areas where enclavement constitutes a fundamental difficulty. This preoccupation constitutes a real challenge task to overcome by the local authorities in order to have a good image. The present study titled “Accessibility and valorisation of tourism potential in Nyanon subdivision” is inscribed within this context. The specific problem which this analysis reveals that, the enclaved nature of the area constitutes the main obstacle to the development of tourism in Nyanon. As a result of the absence of relevant documents relative to our work, the search for empiric data was revealed as the only option. The problem was therefore analysed through the empiric method based on semi-directive interview guides with local authorities and the consultation of web sites and field observations. Results revealed that, the physical milieu coupled to the climatic condition of the area as well as the less implementation of local actors in the maintenance of roads are the main cause of the low process of development of the tourism activity in Nyanon. Financial and material constraints as well as the periodic charater of events did not help us properly carry out our research in the area of study. As such, we can say that tourism does not really contribute to the development of the Nyanon subdivision. Nevertheless, the encouragement of community tourism will be of great help to fight against poverty.
