Valorisation des espaces récréatifs et développement du tourisme dans la ville de Yaoundé

Abstract

Tourism is recognised today as one of the most important and most profitable socio-economic activity in the world. Today, the planification of recreational centres appears like a challenge in the heart of Cameroonian policies. This study on the ”valorization of recreational centres and the development of tourism in the town of yaounde” offers an ideal frame for the development of our objectif which is that of examining the touristic, the economic and environmental stake of the planification and valorization of recreational centres. Infact , investigation on the field among actors of the planification of recreational centres permitted us to notice that the town of Yaounde knows a diversification in the types of recreational centres, but the majority is found in the administrative centre. To analyse this fact, we opted for the hypothetico-deductive approach founded on direct field observation, investigation, on joint documents and interviews. This made us notice that recreational centres are still few in number, and those existing are not valorized enough, and are unequally distributed in the town. This can be explained by the fact that there is the absence of funding and insufficient policies concerning this issue on one hand. On the other hand we notice an absence of a real synergy between the different territorial decentralized collectivities. Regarding these efforts it becomes important for the different actors of the planification and valorization of recreational centres to take into consideration these aspects so as to work on the expansion of urban tourism in the town of yaounde.
