dc.description.abstract | The azonal character of mountain has always made it a coveted environment to end socio-economic backgrounds, the results being tourism. Everywhere in the world, mountain tourism is an activity that is more mountains in the space considered. Its appellation of the city of 7 hills, Yaoundé remains no far from such a mountainous reality by the multiple elevations which it has. We have in the context of our study tried to raise the importance of a mountain in the development of a city by taking the example of the mountains of Messa and Mbankolo in the Yaoundé II Sub division. From the investigations conducted in the field through questionnaires and direct observations in from the local populations and interviews from the competent institutions on the study, have allowed us to collect data on the potential eco-tourism, and the impact that their exploitations may have on the local development. Such research, have allowed us to retain that the Mount Mbankolo and Messa contains enormous eco-touristic potentials like the picturesque forms of granitic rocks and of forests verdant yet that includes their respective summits. In addition, we have seen that the dynamism of touristic development that occurs is the prerogative of international, institutional, private and endogenous interveners who do not always work in perfect synergy. This is the reason why apart from constraints such as the very low tourist way of life of the local populations and the lack of financial means, one of the impediments to the promotion of ecotourism and even of development, the greater part remains the political will. As well, for a better tomorrow, the State must réorganise the tourism sector to better interest the various actors concerned to a harmonious collaboration. It will be by the same opportunity to increase the tourism culture of the locality in raising the awareness of populations and in the establishment of training centers on the trade of ecotourism. Conclusively, this study allows us to see the development eco-tourism in these mountains, a source of miscellaneous income and jobs, on provision that the local population remains the main actor, with the accompanying policy, financial and infrastructural of the State. | en_US |
