Résumé: This study was conducted in two companies in the town of Yaoundé Cameroon Fabrique Camerounaise de Parquet (FIPCAM) and Société Industrielle de Mbang, (SIM). The aim of this study was to establish a comparison of the operation of these logging companies so as to suggest to them appropriate strategies for migration to the green economy, in case this shall be a need. Therefore the data used has been collected in the two companies. The operating inventory of timber species has been initially done by the companies. The inventory consisted of a cutting CF in AAC located on the field based on GPS data. Using a tape measure skid trails were opened on the North direction of AAC - South and East - West in order to delimit the counting unit in an area of 25 ha. The methodology consisted in making establishing a working relationship with those companies so as to collecting primary data. Inventories of timber species harvested with the one planted show that these companies cut more trees than they reforest, fifteen timber species out of the sixty potentially exploitable. SIM does not have an approved forest landscape management plan, by the Ministry in charge of the forest. Among the most exploited timber species by FIPCAM which include the Bubinga (Guibourtia tessmanii) and Wengue (Millettia laurentii), two species under a ban according to the Ministerial Decree N0 2401 / MINFOF / CAB of 09 November 2012. Forest species exploited by FIPCAM are in compliance with the requirement regarding the Minimal diameter, which is not usually the case for SIM. It appears from this study that the migration to the green economy is not effective because there is not real Accounting of Environnemtal Management in these companies
