Résumé: | The offer and the demand is a system which promotes the development of tourism infrastructures, is infact of the touristic industry. It includes a set of activities that promotes the social and economic growth of activities in the area of Yaounde II. This study aims to present the tourist activity as a lever for the socio-economic development in the surroundings of Yaounde II. The surveys on the field associated with the collection of data relating to the tourism activity in our area of study have helped to evaluate the level of involvement of the activities to the socio-economic development of the arrondissement of Yaoundé II. The touristic activity of the locality offers a diversified and offers comprising: accommodation, catering, leisure activities, the benefits of the tourism agencies. These promotes the growth of the tourism demand that is manifested by a number of arrivals constantly increasing. The tourist infrastructures put on foot have a considerable contribution in terms of income and foreign exchange to the economy of the subdivision. They have also fostered the creation of several jobs : direct, indirect, inferred that improve the living conditions of the local populations. However, the difficulties related to the insecurity and qualifications of personnels slows down the proper functioning of the economic activity. These require the taking of measures to strengthen and make more effective the benefits of tourism activities for : the increase of local tourism demand, adapt business strategies and marketing that can attract more international tourists that residents of the subdivision and also create jobs or partnerships with the defense sector to secure the tourist spaces. |
