dc.description.abstract | There are several platforms to continue training in Cameroon through which teachers are required to be trained after leaving training colleges. The Pedagogical Days remain the most known platform. Organized by the government via MINESEC, the Pedagogical Days provide a formal opportunity for exchange between inspectors and teachers on the field. They allow teachers to refine their training in the form of continuous training. It is here that the teachers in general and those of geography of Mandjou Subdivision in particular learn new teaching methods, and new class practices. It is here that teachers acquire the active methods, the use of ICT, the methods of learner participation that must be implemented and used in the field. They are therefore of paramount importance. However, it appears that many teachers who they know this platform, do not pay enough attention to it, they already have the necessary training to teach and none of those who go there give enough importance to this. Notwithstanding some efforts by public authorities and education officials, a number of things remain to be done to improve the organization of these days and make them not only attractive by teachers, but also more empowering. To do this it should leave the optional mode and without great stimulus to become more or less binding and especially a platform issuing certificates with a positive effect on the wage index based on a certain number of participation or may allow a teacher to evolve in his career. It could also serve as a mission for teachers and be paid for as such. | fr_FR |
