Résumé: | The research that we have carried out is entitled <<la géolocalisation des sites d'attraction, un outil au service de la gouvernance touristique: cas de la ville d'Ebolowa et sa périphérie>>. Its main concern is how the geolocalisation of sites of attraction could effectively contribute to enhance tourism in Ebolowa city as well as in its surroundings. In other words, we want to understand the part that geolocalisation can play in order to map out the various touristic assets that are embodied by Ebolowa city. In addition to that main concern, other worthy concerns for our methodological approach are put forward. To achieve this aim, the methodology that we have chosen aims first at documentary research; second to the collection of basic data through a questionnaire that is applied to a stratified sample of 160 people chosen at random in two different levels (urban and surrounding areas).Consequently, we definitely succeeded to get three broad groups of result, namely: - At the first level of counting the sites of attraction, we realised that these sites of attractions were both plenty and diverse. We have mentioned them among others: rocks, monuments and statues, lakes, parks and markets, religious and cultural estates, and other touristic products, like the Nkolandom touristic center. With this diversity, we can develop various types of tourism: ecotourism, cultural tourism, religious tourism, business tourism and sport tourism, just to name only these few. - The second group of results focuses on the causes of poor effects on the development of tourism in Ebolowa and in its surroundings. At this level, we notice the serious lack of infrastructures, of accommodation, communication and telecommunication. - The third group of results, however, suggests some relevant steps aiming at improving the current governance. Thanks to these tools and techniques of geolocalisation, namely the GPS land marking, we were able to draw a precised map of touristic sites of Ebolowa city and its surroundings. Having made the study into 2 broad levels, we were therefore able to draw a map of urban sites (level 1), the map of surrounding sites (level 2), and an overall map of both urban and surrounding sites. For the first 2 maps, we associated them with pictures in order to attract more visitor. Likewise we carried out a spatial analysis between these sites and certain structures of accommodation. All this is to optimise governance. We were also able to make a map of spread sites with the purpose of locating sites and some VIP hotels; and at the end, the real map of accomodation. |
