This dissertation is about the literary image of Foulani people. Its objective is to bring out the comparative and contrastive study of the different images that each author has on this people. The study is structured in three main points. The first is about the cultural identity of Foulani, his conception on himself and on others. The second studies aspects and manifestations of Foulani civilization. And the third is about the misbehavior of Foulani people and the author’s vision. The sociocritic analysis of Claude Duchet associated to the imagology of Daniel Henri Pageaux helped us to make parallel between contain of the novels and the society. In sum, from one author to one another, Foulani people is represented in a positive way according to his tradition, and negatively because of some contradictions observed within his behavior, and the general principles of his culture. This image is conditioned by the socio-historical and geographical context where Foulani lives and the relationship of each author with him.fr_FR
