Résumé: | The crafts, as particular mode of production and marketing of craft products knows today a considerable decline. The craft production of art articles remains an area where those who are active work in the context of amateurism which is expressive of a poor interest on the part of government bodies. Due to this ascertainment, it was necessary to formulate the subject as follows: " craft galleries and the promotion of tourism in the neighborhoods of Yaoundé I, II, III and IV. "The aim of this work is to analyze the contribution of craft galleries in the promotion of the local tourism sector in the councils of the Yaoundé I, II, III and IV Sub Divisions. To complete this work, it was necessary to rely on a consistent method of work. The documentary research led to the state of the question of the local crafts and even national. The field investigation permitted to administer several questionnaires to a sample of 25 craftsmen for a workforce of 15 craft galleries, 33 heads of public administrations and 70 customers. The data collected have been stripped and processed using the software Microsoft Excel (2010) and SPSS 18.1. The results obtained allowed to demonstrate that the state of craft galleries present in the Yaoundé I, II, III and IV Sub Divisions are insufficient in quantity and quality to meet the demand of the customer. In addition, the rate of attendance of such galleries is low only 35% of the tourists visit the craft galleries in Yaoundé. This has a real impact decline of tourists who were 14 000/day in 1980 and less than 6500/day in 2010. The income of craftsmen has taken a blow, they earn today less than 20 000Frs/day and the most affected are the craftmen of production. In addition, the strategies of advert of craft galleries and promotion of the Cameroon destination are numerous, scattered and lack coordination. The State through its structures devolved and decentralized tries to invest in the construction of buildings likely to promoting Cameroon destination while the craftmen are trying to group themselves in associations in order to defend their interest and value to advantage their activity. |
