The purpose of this document is to study the propagation in bi-isotropic media of the optically active waveguide. In order to achieve the goal, first of all, we have established the expressions of wave number and characteristic impedance in bi-isotropic medium for plane wave solutions. On one hand, the study of the propagation in the optically active material, well-known “chiral material” leads to establish the mathematical expressions of each component of the electromagnetic field. On other hand, the resolution of equations with boundary conditions leads to propagation equations. The curves show that transmission modes in a chiral medium are different to those in the classical medium.fr_FR
