Métabolites secondaires des fruits de Macaranga Hurifolia (Euphorbiaceae) : isolement et structure.

Abstract

The present work deals with the extraction, the isolation, the purification and the characterization of secondary metabolites from the methanol extract of the fruits of Macaranga Hurifolia, a Cameroonian medicinal plant belonging of Euphorbiaceae family. This plant is used in traditional medicine for the treatment of various ailments such as the rheumatism, the sciatica, the lumbar pains. Thus from the methanolic extract of the fruits of this plant, have been isolated using chromatographic methods in liquid phase, four compounds, two of them were entirely characterized and identified as: a mixture of stigmaterol and β-sitosterol and epicatechin. The structures of these compounds have been determined by details analysis of their one and two dimension NMR (NMR 1H, NMR 13C and COSY) as well as ESI data and by comparison of their spectroscopic data with the previously published data.
