Résumé: | This work solves a lack observed in the imposing documentation on tourism that was recently built up. Brievely and simply written, and abound with examples, it provides a complete account of propositions that aim at changing the negative effects of tourism within Yaounde II council. We tried to show the state of touristic infrastructures in that council, and to understand why the touristic activity in that locality diminishes in such an extent that it influences the development of the local council. This work also emphasizes on measures that are likely to attract more tourists in the future namely a more development and valorization of touristic infrastructures and the promotion of tourism in that locality. Since the implementation of the strategic document for job and economic growth, tourism is among the priorities of the government policy. The local population is thus informed on the positive impact of tourism in the economic development of Cameroon in general, and Yaounde II in particular. Among the points evoked in this work are: Making tourism more profitable and making it an asset for development by optimizing infrastructures and improving the efficiency of local and public policies. We also stressed the role that the civil society, local populations, and the different partners in local development have to play to meet these goals. |
