Essai comparatif, d’adaptabilité de trois variétés de pomme de terre (Solanum, Tuberosum), sous fertilisation organique, en zone de basse altitude à Ebolowa (Ngalan)

Abstract

The potato minituber production is the classical intermediate stage enabling field use of potato materials with an in vitro origin. This production of minitubers may be achieved through various techniques. Most often however they are based upon bedding vitroplantlets or vitroplantlets cuttings in a soilless cultivation. In this work we tasted the influence of two cultures, on the reaction of three varieties potatoes (Spunta, Désirée & Cipira). Where we compared the reaction of the three varieties in the two environments through a series of morphological measures through a part the quality the strength of growth (measurement of length and number of stems, leaves count) through the other part the performance (number and size of tubers). The results obtained show that the rate of proliferation measured of every variety was similar in both of the tests this is a sign to a productive ability of the tuber of every variety. It is easily distinguished that Cipira variety has a good ability of the production of tubers 15-19 tuber per plant) with a uniformity of size of the tubers. But the two others varieties Spunta & Désirée have an average capacity of production between 9-11 tuber per plant. Statistical analysis that has been carried out, shows that regardless the place of cultivation, the number of the tubers depends on the variety. The role of the environment contributes, only on increasing the yield, by optimizing well the genetic potential of plant.
