dc.description.abstract | Finally, when obtaining the new vehicle model, the engineer must imperatively assess its traction properties. Since no African country has a vehicle design and manufacturing plant, it often happens that one wants to adapt a new engine or transmission to an automobile; for this we often and generally use a graphical tool called "the dynamic characteristic", which gives the available pulling force to gain or overcome the efforts to resist the movement of the vehicle, as a function of its speed. To facilitate its construction, we have developed an application with the theme: "design and production of an application for calculating the elements of the dynamic characteristic curve of automobiles correlative to the traction properties". This work was done in several stages, among which: the complete definition of the algorithm of the application, the choice of programming language (VISUAL STUDIO) and the writing of the program, the design of the reception and work interfaces , loading the program into the interfaces followed by the compilation of the source code. And after several numerous tests we have achieved the desired result, including the entire construction of the elements of the dynamic characteristic curve specific to each vehicle as a function of the traction parameters such as the type of vehicle, the type of engine, the gearbox and its dimensional characteristics. The application having been obtained, it can then be used for the analysis, of the traction and speed properties of a vehicle during design or at the end of design, it is the assistance of the mechanic in the choice of a new engine and the adaptation of a new transmission for a vehicle already in circulation and the test after engine maintenance. | en_US |
