Résumé: The main objective of this study is to produce biomedical sanitary pads based on cassava cellulose. The idea is to recover the cassava roots in order to promote them in the textile and clothing industry; the aim of this work is to obtain cassava cellulose in an artisanal way and to impregnate antibacterial products in the raw material. To carry out this work we have chosen the chemical extraction process (cold extraction), carried out in the laboratory allowed us to obtain the fibers, then its transformation into cellulose followed by its bleaching and grinding. The materials we used during the extraction are among others: the volumetric flask, the analytical balance, the volumetric pipette. The results obtained are satisfactory. Our pad absorbs 50 ml of blood flow and its weight is 14 g, it emerges that most of the sanitary pads that exist on the market are made with a super absorbent of 100% sodium polyacrylate crystals that cause certain diseases in women besides our pads «BIO NATURA» prevent certain diseases.Throughout this work we encountered several difficulties including the extraction of cellulose and the impregnation of products. For our future research we plan to improve the functional properties of our pads. Keywords: cellulose, realization, cassava roots, sanitary pads, biomedical.
