dc.description.abstract | The recovery of primary processing residues from wood processing presents many difficulties. The general objective of this study is to provide a recovery of the woody material (waste) during the sawing operation by a feasibility study of installation of carbonization unit of the unit of transformation of the company African woods from Mbam. It was a question of characterizing and evaluating the volume of sawing by-products, carrying out carbonization tests in order to produce coal from sawmill waste, carrying out market study and financial analysis on coal production analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in order to highlight the environmental impact strategy. Taking measurements on the coursons entering with the head saw and the sawn timber obtained at the end of the transformation made it possible to have a volume of incoming and outgoing wood estimated respectively at 4729,330 m3 and 1633,060 m3 which generated a waste volume of 3096,270 m3 for a yield of 34,53%. Carbonization by an improved grinding wheel made it possible to carry out tests for the production of charcoal, so the choice was made on two species, namely Wengue and Dibetou of medium and impressive debsity for solid charcoal and of long use. From this test, 3500 Kg of wood waste was used for coal production at 1800 Kg or 1,8 tonnes over 6 days. This allowed everything to indicate a work plan, the tools used and the number of people necessary depending on the tasks to be accomplished. Planning this production over a 16 month period will allow the company to produce nearly 5529,600 tonnes of coal in the long term. From the market study, it follows that’s the target market is targeted according to the information collected on over the extent of the territory and the knowledge relating to it puts the production price of 50 Kg at 3000 FCFA, its evacuation to the Yaounde and Douala poles while including the Northern part. On the financial level with the inventory of the expenses to be provided for the start of the project and the operating expenses, the total sum to be implemented is 7860000 FCFA over 16 months of production. The analysis thus highlights the environmental impact strategy based on anticipation. The activity has advantages and disadvantages such as the recovery of environmental pollution to name a few respectively. The supply of coal is still lower than the demand, so there is a need for the structure to develop their sawdust and no longer to burn in the open air. It is concerned for the latter to introduce within its recovery unit for its waste in order to have maximum recovery of material. | en_US |
